Gatewayhas released a batch of new notebooks that include the 4530GZ, 4535GZ, 7405GX and 7210GX. The 4530GZ and 4535Gz notebooks comewith Intel Pentium M processors, a multiformat DVD-RW drive, an XGA thin-film-transistor display, wireless connectivity and improved battery life and weigh in at 5.5 pounds with a mere1.2-inches of thickness. Meanwhile the 7405GX and 7210GX incorporate AMD chips, the 7405GX being an Athlon 64 processor. Both 7000 series notebooks have 15.4" Ultrabright screens and are close in specs and formto the eMachines 6800 series of laptops. Gateway bought out eMachines in the Spring.

How can it be said that they look similar to the emachines models? They're the exact same machines, not even the same amount of diff from the voodoo machines with m radeon 9700....

My husband and I are considering buying a laptop for our travels. Basically we want it for email and playing games and maybe some picture downloading. We are looking at the Gateway 7210 GX. Since it is so similar to the emachine do you know much about that? Will it be a good buy for us and will it be reliable? Sure apprecaite your help.
