This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     These are scans from the November 2004 Holiday Gift Guide (page 37 and 33).

    No sign of a new XPS yet, they're still selling the old one in the same catalog.

    Did you see that the new 9200 doesn't even have the WXUGA 1920 X 1200 screen as a upgrade, bigger by 1.6 inch diaginol screen but no bigger than SXVGA+ amount of pixels. There goes the Ultra Sharp screen Dell has been touting about, you can't a ultimate screen with a lower than top grade WXUGA pixel display!

    Does Dell think we are stupid morons that couldn't figure that one out, I have been into Home Theater since 1997. I had that made in less than a new york city minute, NYUK, NYUK, famous 3 stooges line lots of people still think it stands for New York but what it really stands for is New York University of Knucklheads. I ain't one of them, you need the 1920 x 1200 for Dell to call it a UltraSharp screen period![ :)]
