    As we'll see in this review, Nero 12 Platinum bills itself as a "complete multimedia suite," an apt descriptionbecause the product includes video editing, disc burning, backup and recovery, catalogingof multimedia files, DVD playback for Windows 8, and a whole lot more.Any way you count the apps, Nero 12 Platinum packs loads of functionality into a relatively inexpensive suite of software programs for Windows 8 and earlier PCs, including verysophisticated -- while not "professional level" -- video editing.
