This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Each month we compile data for the number of times a particular notebook is viewed on this sites product pages to get an idea for what mainstream consumers are looking at and thinking about buying. In July Toshiba stormed onto the charts with a slew of cheap notebook offerings that are highly configurable and easy to find in stores.

    Correct, Asus = very popular in the forums, but this is more a log of people that visit the site that you'll see in say Fry's or Circuit City buying notebooks there. They logon to this site to find information but don't really discuss much in the forums and probably don't know about Asus because they only look in stores or mainstream online shopping sites.

    Aah, Acers have started to pop their head up too. Now with Dell going to have notebooks with the AMD processors, we can expect Dell to go even higher. :p

    I bought an Acer 5672 in July ^_^
    VERY pleased so far
