Each month we compile data for the number of times a particular notebook is viewed on this site's product pages to get an idea for what mainstream consumers are looking at and thinking about buying. While these laptops aren't necessarily the most popular in terms of sales, they are the most popular based on the number of times our visitors clicked on them.

In that sense, think of this list as the "most clickable laptops of the month" ... the notebooks that most of the people visiting this site are interested in learning about. Keep in mind that clicks directly on the "Most Viewed Laptops" list do not count toward the total in order to keep the list as fair as possible each month. The only clicks that count toward the monthly totals come from web searches like Google or from visitors who have clicked on a laptop after visiting our "Notebook Database" or inside our forums.

The Lenovo ThinkPad T400 still holds a strong lead in the #1 position, alongside the Acer Aspire One still in #2. The Apple 13" MacBook Pro holding the #3 position is new to the list this month, jumping up to that spot quickly after the review launched. The HP Pavilion dv2z moved up to the #8 spot, previously holding #12. The Sony VAIO CS slipped into the #10 spot for the first time as well this month.

Considering Lenovo is a long-time site supporter, are nos. 8, 9, 10 supposed to be sending a subliminal message?

No subliminal messages intended. However, I am surprised sometimes to see how much traffic Lenovo notebooks are getting on our site ... particularly since we cover so many other notebook brands.

I'm starting to think Lenovo is paying their employees bonuses if they come to our site multiple times a day and click on multiple Lenovo laptops every time they visit. ;) :p

I think he was referring to the fact that 8, 9, and 10 bear the same description for the X200 :)

ASUS changes model numbers so frequently on new models that it is hard to group results together. Right now we have the 1005HA, 1008HA, 1000HE, and many other models, where Acer for example has been primarily pushing the Acer Aspire One for a long time. To give an example, adding up the results top three ASUS netbooks (1000HE, 1000, 1008HA) we get roughly 32,000 unique hits. That is enough to almost put it in the number 3 position. Add in the 1005HA SeaShell and it ousts the Acer Aspire One and takes #2.

Affordable ThinkPad of popular size that has a legendary keyboard and a strong following with very good build quality. Generally speaking these days people are trying to spend there money in the best possible way, so we see more people turning to business/durable notebooks so they can hopefully last as long as possible.

Lol, wow what happened to that netbook domination from before?? I remember a couple months back where there were like 9 netbooks in the top 10 i guess this has to do in part with the fact that regular notebook have become so affordable now.
