<!-- Generated by XStandard version 1.7.1.0 on 2007-07-01T21:17:57 -->Each month we compile data for the number of times a particular notebook is viewed on this sites product pages to get an idea for what mainstream consumers are looking at and thinking about buying. In June Dell released their Intel Santa Rosa laptop contenders and those models are storming up the charts. The sleek looking 13.3" screen XPS M1330 rocketed to #2 for the month and it was only available for 4-days during the month!
1. Lenovo ThinkPad T61 (Previously #1) - The ThinkPad T61 was released in May and raced to the top of the most popular charts. The T61 sports the new Intel Santa Rosa (Centrino Duo) platform and improves upon the popular T60 by offering an even sturdier build and extra port options. 2. Dell XPS M1330 (new to top ten) - The XPS M1330 has only been out less than a week, but the interest level and popularity is such that it registered as the #2 most viewed notebook for the month of June. We're quite sure it will be the most popular for July given this trajectory. The M1330 is a 13.3" portable notebook with the Intel Santa Rosa processor, Nvidia 8400M graphics and slick looks. 3. HP Pavilion dv6000t (Previously #2) - The dv6000t continues to fall down the charts as it has been replaced by the updated dv6500t. The dv6000t has a 15.4" widescreen display, nice imprint finish and offers the Core 2 Duo processor and Nvidia 7400 graphics card. 4. Dell Inspiron e1505 / Inspiron 6400 (Previously #4) - The Inspiron e1505, sold as the Inspiron 6400 through Dell business, is a 15.4" screen notebook that uses a Core 2 Duo processor. The Inspiron 1520 will be replacing this model now that it is released. 5. Sony VAIO SZ (Previously #5) - Performance in a small package, that sums up the Sony VAIO SZ. The bright glossy 13.3" display is powered by dedicated graphics and is being updated with the Intel Santa Rosa platform for an extra performance boost. 6. Lenovo ThinkPad T60 (Previously #4) - The ThinkPad T60 is the predecessor to the T61 that comes with either a 14" or 15" display and is powered by a Core 2 Duo processor. 7. Sony VAIO FZ (new to top ten) - The Sony VAO FZ is a new release from Sony that has the Intel Santa Rosa platform on board. The VAIO FZ is a 15.4" screen notebook with multimedia functions and a sleek look. 8. Toshiba Satellite A135 (previously #7) - The Toshiba Satellite A135 is a laptop with a 15.4" screen that's been on our charts for a while now. The A135 can be configured in a variety of ways, anything from a Celeron processor to Core 2 Duo. The A135 is a good choice for first time laptop buyers. 9. Apple MacBook Pro (back in top ten) - Apple put the latest Intel Santa Rosa platform into their top of the line MacBook Pro and all of a sudden the interest in this model peaked again. Power, beauty and utility sum up the MacBook Pro. 10. Dell Inspiron 1520 (new to top ten) - Dell only announced the Inspiron 1520 at the end of June, but the anticipation for this new Dell mainstream 15.4" screen model was so great that it made it into the top ten for the month anyway. The Inspiron 1520 has the Intel Santa Rosa platform on board and comes in 8-different color selections.

i thought there were some huge compal topics before the new inspiron pics began to pop up.

Interesting that the dv6000t is in 3rd place, while the replacement dv6500t is in 17th place. Apparently the older model is still an attractive laptop, and it's recent price decreases make it even more so.

Article proves people want smaller size, but with power.
Also surprised the DV6500T isn't moving up the charts. It's a great laptop and it's easy to make a dual boot XP/Vista machine. I wrote a step by step guide to make it easy. The DV6500T has the 8400GS processor available, so there's no reason for it to stay down. I ordered another DV6500T last week, and it arrived today.
What I don't understand is why the Lenovo stays at the top of the chart when no one can get them. -
IMO the 6500 is way overpriced for what you actually get with it.
-
I like my DV6000t and would've gotten another one if it came with Go8600(GT) but it looks like the DELL with its latest 1520 took the lead

Dell is on a major roll right now. Its taken over the top 3 spots now, with the M1330, 1520, and 1420. It seems that the design breakthrough has really helped them.
