<!-- Generated by XStandard version 1.7.1.0 on 2007-05-02T13:55:55 -->Each month we compile data for the number of times a particular notebook is viewed on this sites product pages to get an idea for what mainstream consumers are looking at and thinking about buying. In April of 2007 the HP dv6000t continues to hold very steady at #1 for the fifth month in a row. Though the poll remained somewhat steady this month, expect some churn in May as Intel Santa Rosa notebooks hit the market.
1. HP Pavilion dv6000t (Previously #1) - The dv6000t is popular, and in a big way. No wonder though. Its 15.4" widescreen form factor is the most popular type and the dv6000t is widely available in stores. The cool design of the dv6000t with its imprint finish and offering of a powerful Core 2 Duo processor and Nvidia 7400 graphics card make this Vista loaded notebook a nice choice for a multimedia home PC. The HP dv6000t should be updating to Intel Santa Rosa this month. HP dv6000t Reviews | HP dv6000t User Opinions 2. Lenovo ThinkPad T60 (Previously #2) - The ThinkPad T60 is available with either a Core Duo or Core 2 Duo processor. It comes with either a 14" or 15" display, there is also a widescreen version of the 15" T60. This thin and light is all about business, featuring one of the best keyboards in the industry, dual pointing devices and optional integrated WAN. The Inspiron e1505, sold as the Inspiron 6400 through Dell business, is fully customizable and now includes the Core 2 Duo processor, a high resolution 15.4" display and several drive options. Windows Vista now comes pre-loaded on any e1505 you configure. Dell has found a nice blend of performance and price with the e1505. Dell Inspiron e1505 Reviews | Dell Inspiron e1505 User Opinions 4. Sony VAIO SZ (Previously #4) - Performance in a small package, that sums up the Sony VAIO SZ. The bright glossy 13.3" display is powered by dedicated graphics and a Core Duo processor. Sony also introduced an SZ4 recently available with Core 2 Duo. The SZ has been popular for a long time and is holding very strong. It is now available with Windows Vista too. You can now get the dv9000z with Windows Vista. The dv9000z offers a built-in number pad, lots of multimedia features, slick HP imprint wave design and best of all -- a price of around $1,000! HP dv9000z Reviews | HP dv9000z User Opinions 7. Apple MacBook Pro (previously #8) - Apple's MacBook Pro is one of the nicest looking notebooks on the market. It's not all about beauty though, the MacBook Pro offers an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, ATI X1600 video card and DVI output in a 15.4" or 17" screen size. Apple MacBook Pro Reviews | Apple MacBook Pro User Opinions 8. HP Pavilion dv6000z (new to top ten) - The HP dv6000z is the sister notebook to the dv6000t 15.4" screen Intel powered notebook. The dv6000z uses an AMD processor instead of Intel, but other than that you're looking at the same notebook as the dv6000t. The good news about the dv6000z is that it is slightly cheaper than the dv6000t. HP dv6000z Reviews | HP dv6000z User Opinions 9. Sony VAIO FE (previously #9) - The Sony VAIO FE series from Sony has a 15.4" widescreen, Intel Core 2 Duo processor, optional built-in camera, swappable multi-function optical drive bay and a vivid X-Brite display technology. The future does look very bright for HP. They really have been very sucessful with the dv6000t. No doubt the success will continue with Santa Rosa. It would be useful if they offered a more powerful GPU though, a GeForce 7600 for example.

John Ratsey Moderately inquisitive Super Moderator
While on the topic of most popular threads, I must give a mention to the Samsung R20 thread which has been attracting steady interest since it was started in mid-February and was up to over 22,000 views by the end of April. Nor bad for a computer which is not available in North America. This thread has now accumulated nearly half the total views of all threads in the Samsung forum.
