Well I Was Looking Into This Bag But There Was No Review Here So I Figured Since I Have It Now I'd Put Up A Review.

    Mobile Edge's Express Backpack

Price: $59.99 ea./ I Paid 43 Off Of Newegg.com And Received It In 3 Days.

    Design:

The Express Backpack Looks Great, From The Outside You Cant Even Tell Its A Laptop Bag. It's Made Of Tough Material And My Laptop Feels Safe Inside Of It. The Bag Comes In 5 Colores, White, Red, Yellow, Urban Camo, And Silver. I Got The Red One.

On The Front There Is A Dedicated Media Pocket For An Mp3 Player Or CD Player With A Headphone Pass-Through So You Can Keep Your Player Safe In Your Bag But Still Be Listening. On The Side There Is A Hidden Drink Compartment You Open With A Zipper It Doesn't Seem To Close When Theres A Drink In There So I Guess You Just Leave It Open.

The Back Has Ventilated Back Panels Which Keep Your Back Nice And Dry, There Is Also A Cell Phone Pouch On The Shoulder Strap.

The Inside Of The Bag Is Very Roomy, I Fit My HP DV2500T 14.1 Inch Screen, An Overly Stuffed 3 Inch Binder And There Was Still Room For Another Textbook Or Binder To Fin Comfortably. There Are Many Compartments For Everything, Mouse, Power supply,Cords, Dongles, Memory Sticks And Plenty More.

This Bag Seems Great For Students I'm Going Into College And Needed A Backpack I Could Take My Laptop With Me And Carry Some Books, This Bag Fits Everything Great, And It Looks Real Sleek. I Went To Bestbuy And Was Looking At All The Other Laptop Bags They Had And They All Seemed Huge Like I Was Taking My Laptop On A Mountain Trip Through The Woods. The Mobile Edge Express Bag Doesn't Look Like That At All It Looks Like A Regular School Bag.

    Pros:
    *Great Padding
    *Cheap
    *Good Looking
    *Lifetime Warranty

    Cons:
*May Not Carry Enough For Some People
*I Read Another Review Saying It Wasn't Water Proof (I'm Not Testing It lol)

    Conclusion:
This Bag Is Great For School Kids Who Need A Stylish Looking Bag To Get There Laptop And Books From Their Car To Class. If Your Looking For A Bag To Take Out While You Hike Or Something Besides School Where You May Want To Carry A Jacket Or A Big Lunch This Bag May Not Be Right For You, But For Those Looking To Carrying Books And A Laptop This Bag Is Great.

Thanks for the review j-dogg, I'm a huge fan of the Mobile Edge brand and carry a Mobile Edge Select backpack myself. It's over two years old and is definitely showing its age, but I love it and just can't face parting with it. I reviewed it a long time ago http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=15104

    Great choice of brand!

J-Dogg - I am looking at this backpack for my i1520 - Do you think there is enough levey on top to fit a laptop with the following demensions:
    With Sleeve: 15" (W) X 2" (H) X 12" (D).
    Without sleeve : 14.12 (W) x 1.65” (H) x 11.59” (D)

    Thanks!

your 15 inch note book should fit this backpack it is designed for 15.1 and 15.4 inch notebooks im not sure if it will fit in the sleve but tomorrow if you can wait that long i will borrow my dads 15 inch dell inspiron and take some picture of the laptop in the bag so you can get a general idea of how it will fit but im almost positive it will fit as long as its not in the sleve

Hey J-Dogg - Thanks a ton for taking the time to take these pictures!! Big +rep to you! Judging by these extremely helpful pictures, I think the i1520 will fit since the top part can stick out (W) and the Depth should fit comfortably with the sleeve as well giving it added protection. I think I am going to get this unless I can find a nicer design which I dont think is going to happen (See thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=149313)

    Thanks once again!!!

I don't know, Onimun, I don't think that this particular bag will fit the NP2090 (or possibly the Dell 1520) as well as some might hope. The laptop compartment for this is only 13.2" L x 11.7" W x 1.9" H, and the 2090 is supposed to be 14" x 10.1" x 1.4~1.5". I think that the one inch difference might make it a little tighter than it should be. The laptop he showed was 12.9 x 10.5 x 1.2 in, which is smaller than the 2090 (and actually fits "spec-wise" into the compartment).

However, the Mobile Edge Premium has a laptop compartment of 15.5" L x 10.5" W x 2.5" H. I would think that would be a much nicer fit. It is a little more expensive, ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834997613), but it not like twice the cost or anything (only $16.00 more and $1.30 more for S/H). It also seems to have more features. I don't know, I am trying to find a nice, big backpack for my 2090, and I noticed this, so I thought I would point it out. Good luck with it!

EDIT: I realize that the "Premium" might be designed for 17" notebooks as well, but isn't the 2090 a little bit on the larger side of 15.4" notebooks?

ok i had some requests to take pictures of the backpack packed with books heres what i got 1 big binder and 1 huge textbook. total of about 4.5 inches of books. the books fit good and there was room to zip it up. the second pic is the books in the bag with the laptop in while opend. the last pic is the bag zipped up, and filled with the books with my laptop inside, as you can see its getting bigger and heavier but it fits well, books were not forced in. the way i figure it ill stop at my car after every class anyway i can just swap out. hope this helps you guys

Yeah I got this bag off ebay. It's not bad. I think it looks killer. But yeah, It's pretty small, good for all your computer gear then maybe a couple books or something. My biggest turn off is the main compartment doesn't seem that easy to use kinda opens around along the front and just to guide the zipper is not quite as easy as the traditional bags that open along the top.

I give it 4/5 stars. The one thing that would have made this BAG KILLER is if it had a isolated side loading laptop compartment.... drool, had one on my old backpack. Seriously, IMHO every laptop back should be side load.
