The 3:2 display was a smart move for MS. This display is unique and is something more manufacturers should offer. 16:9 is far from optimal and is what is offered on most devices except tablets and the 13" air. I think MS offered 3:2 as a last gasp to try to get surface popular. IMO, this will be the end of surface pro. KB is better but far from something like one you would find on a Lenovo. Only one USB to main board. That in itself is a deal killer. Unless you have very long upper legs, this does not sit well on lap.. no matter how much MS blabs that it is lap happy. Maybe if MS would have made a real laptop with a digitizer screen it would have a better chance. Typing this on my Samsung Book 9 with IPS matte screen I still think I have something far superior to the Surface. Touch pad on the Samsung is top notch with excellent KB. I type like a wizard on this thing.

MS should also make a lighter non digitizer version and get the price point down. Digitizers really add to component costs putting the surface out of reach for most. From what I've read, many don't use digitizers when they have them on their devices. This really should be a optional feature. I still feel the API's on the modern interface with the elementary colored tiles was a mistake. Coders don't like it and what you get are apps that provide basic function but look ugly and perform worse then their desktop or android/IOS equivalents. The concept was good to have two interfaces but the metro was just terrible and will haunt MS for years. At some point I know we will get a totally new API and windows that won't look or feel anything like what 8.1 delivers today.

Surface Pro 3 still beats the other manufacturers in bringing a pure windows 8 experience without all the crapware installed
