This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Apple will not be thrilled that ZDNet decided to take a Toshiba Satellite and show how it can be made to run the new Mac OSX for x86 machines, the OSX for Intel processors was supposed to be locked to Apple only machines (so they could keep their high margins on iBooks, Macs and Powerbooks and manufacturers such as Dell could not create Apple clones) but there's a hack to get around this:

    This is bound to happen more and more often after Mac comes out with their Intel based notebook and desktops. Nice to see that it can be done pretty easily though :) Apple won't be too happy to see this :D
