This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    MSi Wind at Staples Store

    I stopped by my local Staples store in Edmonton, Canada today and to my surprise they had just received 3 Wind Netbooks. All three were black XP models. They weren't on display yet, but the sales person let me have a look. I didn't get to see it booted up, but the unit seems solid. My big concern is the 3 cell battery. I'll probably wait for a six.

    For those of you interested, the price was $549 Can. which is about $545 US.

    Edit: My mistake: Staples price is actually $529 Can.
