Hi. I have a question regarding MSI Wind U210. I have read that the processor heats up. What is the maximum temperature that can be expected to reach with respect to room temperature. Since I live in a place where temperature generally remains around 35C will the heating up cause issues?

I got one of the U210 with an Athlon X2 Neo L335. It came with a 9-cell battery. I'm happy with it and with my usage behavior, I have to recharge every other day. I haven't tried playing games with it but so far, the computational software I am using runs fine. I believe my satisfaction with it will be similar with Seer's since I have only been using it for a few days. I was able to feed everything to get it into a useful state through flash disks. This guy made me realize that I was seeking for optical drives as a security blanket like floppy disks were before and can live without them. I hope to upgrade the internals in a year's time since that's when the warranty expires and it is sufficient for what I need near term.

Cool laptop, love the idea of a larger netbook. MSI is holding a contest that i just found out about, if you are great at graphic design you may want to check it out. The contest is to design a skin/cover for the U210 and the winner gets their design painted on the cover and a u210, two runner ups get a black or white u210 and i think they randomly select 3 more users for the u210. It's pretty cool that MSI is doing a contest like this to get their name out. I love their netbooks and a contest like this is awesome for MSI. I believe the contest info is on msicomputers.com, not sure if its on msimobile.com. Not sure what the exact details are or when it will get chosen but seems pretty cool that MSI is actively getting the name out.

I also got the dual core version of this, the MSI U210x, really love this netbook, it so light and I like the speed... Undervolt the processor and the battery life increases and the temperature decreases....

U230 is back on MSI's page. Same link as Aerows posted before and Phinagle posted above.

Notice they don't tell you what the other better performing laptops with equal equipment were.....

I wouldn't put a lot of stock in guys that don't even notice that its NOT a 1250 but a 1270. Reviewers who don't even notice that, aren't really 'reviewers', they're just hacks.

All around, for the same money, its very difficult to think of a box that out performs the 210 with the exception of the HP 311 which does on *some* things like games, but is far worse in other areas, screen for instance, and the heat.
Whatever floats (or sinks) their boat LOL.
