MSI unveiled an innovative prototype notebook PC during a pre-show event at this year's Computex show in Taipei, Taiwan. The MSI SketchBook is an ultraportable, lightweight notebook with a thin and angular shape that features a unique design with "dual primary input systems" -- the keyboard that swivels to reveal a multi-function writing tablet.

Finally, the perfect laptop for right-handed digital artists who demand the performance of a netbook blended haphazardly with the styling of a golf cart.

Interesting concept, not sure why this is better than the traditional touchscreen tablet with a keyboard. The touch pad on the top right is nothing to shout about, either, Sony put a trackpoint on the top right on the 7" VAIO U1 back in 2002. Sony has just put this nice little feature back into the new P as well.

Nope. Just an unfortunately "tall" screen bezel (extra plastic above and below the screen).

I dunno ... somehow for it to be appealing to the folks that would probably use it it would have to be pretty high powered. I wonder what the internal components of the thing will be?

This could be a great tool for students if it's priced right.
