MSI Intros 15.4-inch VX600 with ATI HD 3410
    [IMG]
MSI today introduced its value-minded 15.4-inch VX600 notebook. Key features include an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, an SIS 672DX chipset, and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3410 with 512MB of dedicated DDR2 memory. The SiS chipset no doubt helps keep costs down. The VX600's 15.4-inch display has a low 1280x800 resolution, but it is refreshing to see a non-16:9 aspect ratio display in today's world. The VX600 will use budget Core 2 Duo processors, as the Front-side bus is limited to 667MHz.

The VX600 has a full-size keyboard with separate numeric keypad, an uncommon feature on a 15.4" notebook. There is no mention of battery life, but the unit will be available with 6- or 9-cell batteries. It weighs 5.7 lbs (2.6kg) with the battery in. There is no word on pricing or availability.

Go figure, anyway, from MSI I'm more interested to hear about the GT628 which has no release date yet (comes with a GeForce GTS 160M ehe).
