    1. And uh, yes - it does say DesktopReview in the video. But the video was already made and I reallllly didn't want to go back and change it. Besides, you'll be seeing more of that kind of content around here so you might as well get used to it.

    2. Seriously this is a keyboard why did I write a review this long?

    3. Don't get me wrong - it's pretty great.

No mention of which type of mechanical switches. Blues?

Nice review. You mentioned price as a con, but didn't list the MSRP ($149!) as far as I can tell.

Not too bad of a first attempt by Logitech to offer a mechanical keyboard in its lineup, but as you mentioned, it's far too expensive. I would not pay that much for the G710+ when a Das Keyboard can be had for ~$50 cheaper with educational discount (or $30 cheaper without), and some of the CoolerMaster QuickFires can be had for ~$50-60 (and they're not bad at all, although they look quite gaudy).

Good point. I was tired when I posted this, so I'll add that in. Yeah, it's just too pricey. I think $119.99 would be a good price for it, tbh, especially since it does a lot more than a DK.

I have three of these keyboards and I got them on sale a few months back for about $100 a pop. They are my favorite so far and really enjoy them for game playing and typing. Great review!

Thanks for a great review. I'm typing this on my own G710+ which I've had for a few months. I'm loving this keyboard.

After getting quite used to the keyboard on my X1 Carbon, and finding it absolutely terrific, I found that my desktop's G19 keyboard was too spongy. Always having a strong preference for Logitech peripherals, and knowing they had recently created the G710+, I bought it seeing that they had the o-rings to dampen the noise somewhat.

    It costs $200 in Australia.

The biggest problem I had was that I found it so good, my work keyboard didn't suffice anymore (a Microsoft Natural 4000 - king of sponge). So I had to buy another one for work.. All up, $400 spent! But as a programmer I'm happy I did.

I am now using it at work hooked up to my X1 Carbon standing on a Standit.com stand, running Ubuntu, with a 2nd monitor added, and a G9x. Very nice setup.
