    Hi all,

I'm looking at ordering a x201 this weekend. Can anyone advise on the WIFI option? Here are my choices:

    Integrated WiFi wireless LAN adapters
A wireless card must be selected to connect to a wireless network.

    ThinkPad bgn Wireless
    Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000 [$0.00]
    Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 (2x2 AGN) [add $20.00]
    Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 (3x3 AGN) [add $40.00]
    Intel Centrino Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250 [add $55.00]

Thanks in advance. This will be my first Thinkpad in a long time :)

I would get the 6300 without the WiMAX, if you use WiMAX then get it, never heard of it or dont have it right now I would forget about.

I always get the best wireless card available for best range and stability.

Has anyone figured out where to buy the 94 WH 9-cell for the X201(s)? I can't find the part number provided earlier anywhere.

    Just got my x201 yesterday.

    i5-520
    4gb ddr3
    320gb 7200rpm
    6cell
    trackpad

    It's extremely fast considering it's a 12" laptop and weighs 3.2 pounds. 15.7 sec on superpi 1m.

Only downside is the intergrated graphics but that's only for gaming.

    WEI

    Processor 6.8
    Memory 5.9
    Graphics 4.4
    Gaming Graphics 5.2
    Hard Disk 5.8

For ultimate speed put in an SSD and this thing will fly!

Very nice upgrade from my D430. Similar build quality but thinklight but thinkvantage software are very nice. I got the chicony keyboard and it's much better than the d430 keyboard. And of course it accepts 2.5" ssds/hds so no problem with upgrading.

    edit:

I was also looking at the macbook pro 13" but this kills that. The mbp wins on the screen and trackpad (not that the lenovo trackpad sucks). The x201 is faster, lighter, similar battery life, less expensive, and has a much better keyboard. I think I made the right choice.
