re: battery life, I have the x200s in the SU9300 flavor and the best/longest time I can get the lenovo battery meter to report is 17 hours 30 minutes on idle with 0 brightness and wifi/bt off:

Didnt you test wPrime 32M?

I am wondering how big of a difference between this X200s and the X200T is for screen, speaker, and microphone quality are?
Can you or someone else chime in -
But the Processor is lower clock speed at 1.86, and higher l2 cache at 6mb optional. Standard is at 1.2 clock speed, 3mb cache, 800 bus. But it will have better battery life too due to lower processor speed and LED backlight screen.
x200 is at 2.26/2.4 clock speed, 3mb cache, bus 1066. Only 1280x800. -
Can somebody tell me if vertical angles are better on the x200s? Cause I put my 2 year old asus glare type screen next to x200 and they both sucked in terms of vertical viewing angles. Vertical viewing angles is probably the biggest reason I want to swap my laptop.

There are a few major mistakes in this review.
1. Traditional GSM/CDMA/ EV.DO / UMTS WWAN is NOT available in the X200s and will never be due to the lack of WWAN antennas. So, the part about being able to upgrade to this feature is incorrect. The only WWAN available is WiMax and that is from the Intel 5350 WiMax / WiFi card.
2. The weights in the first section for the different batteries are wrong. They should be:
4-cell: from 2.43 lb (1.1kg)
6-cell: from 2.71 lb (1.23kg)
9-cell: from 3.05 lb (1.38kg)
3. GPS will not be available since there is no WWAN.
Omission:
UWB will be available sometime as an option / upgrade. It is also known as Wireless USB. It will be a short range, high speed wireless peripheral connection. -
The Tablet also has a dual array microphone (and stereo speakers) for noise canceling.
My tablet has the same CPU as the x200s and I got a w Prime score of 42.465 sec @ 32M VS. 32.119 seconds for the X200. I will say it is very snappy in daily use though. -
There's a x200s that has UMTS built in. So there must be antennas at least with the normal screen.
They might hold back with webcam and wwan antennas with LED screen for the future X201 or so.
That's btw my upcoming X200s .. as I can't resist no more ... Will order newer Intel 5350 Wimax card from e-bay to accompany this and it will be a real powerhouse! In my city, there's a full-town coverage of free to use Wimax! -
I ordered mine with 5350 WiMax, but it keeps getting delayed. Originally ordered 12/18/08, now showing a ship date of 1/26/09.... and slipping... -
Another funny thing I noticed is that 5350 WiMax supports only 2.5Ghz bandwidth while in Europe 3.5Ghz is commonly in use. There's no network card to support that yet. Man I hate cat-mouse chase. Why there cannot be just one standard worldwide - like in everything. -
LENOVO!!!! They still haven't shipped my friggin X200s. It has been over a month since I ordered it. Come on. This is ABSURD. By now my computer is worth less than I paid for it. I keep emailing the customer service rep and he swears it is going to ship on X date, and then it never does... Holy crap.

The review shows a WXGA+ screenshot that was taken at some 19.5". It gives us an idea of how much screen real estate it offers, but not of what that DPI size looks like. I shrunk it down to see, but doing so blurs the image.
Anyone got a true 12.1" WXGA+ screenshot? -
-
It also does have ludicrously narrow viewing angles, so I do find myself always adjusting the screen to make sure I am looking at it right on. It is definitely worse in that regard than my old T43 screen.
Other than that, it is very, very nice. -
I'm thinking of purchasing either the x200 or the x200s. Does anyone know whether there is a difference in size and shape between the 6 and 9 cell batteries? I currently have a 6 cell for my T61 while my friend has a 9 cell for her T400 and the 9 cell is slightly bigger and curves upward. Any insights you can provide would be most appreciated. Many thanks.
