The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

My guess (and it is only a guess) is that most everyday users would be more interested in the "slate" form factor rather than something as tiny as the smartbook. In my own xp the 10" size for a laptop style machine is too small ...

The buzz around these smartbooks is decidedly negative. The PR folks for this device might want to use the extra time they have to try and change that and convince people there's a use for these devices alongside SmartPhones and netbooks. Which I don't think there is so good luck.
