Doesn't this make it their 4th consumer 12in(or at leas near 12in device)? What makes this different, or better purchase vs the 11.6in U160, 13in U350, or the 12in or 13in Edge? Or is this some how replacing the S12 and U160 at the same time?

The ThinkPad Edge is aimed at a different market than this notebook; the IdeaPads are consumer-oriented. I agree though; Lenovo's lineup is cluttered already and is getting even worse. There are too many models in the IdeaPad line.

I just read about this somewhere else yesterday. What Chaz said was my first thought, the lineup is already cluttered. I thought they were trying to streamline their lineup, by getting rid of the SL and R series and replacing it with the L series for example. I don't know what the heck they are thinking at Lenovo.

It also doesn't help that they offer the 12in Edge, and X201 to confuses consumers who aren't sure of what they need.

Anti-glare screen, 12.5" at 3.04 lb, and the exterior styling also is pretty different from even Lenovo's own offering are what I really like about this laptop. Unfortunately, they have to ruin it with a 4-cell battery that gives you up to 4 hours of battery life. Are you kidding me???
