Lenovo has unveiled its all-new ThinkPad X1 Carbon 6th generation, the flagship of its business line. This 14-inch notebook has a number of new features, including a physical shutter for its webcam. Lenovo bills the X1 Carbon as the world’s lightest 14-inch business notebook. It weighs just 2.49 pounds and has a thickness of only 0.62 inches.

Very nice, love the keyboard. I wonder if the display is glossy or matte.

Here's a quick look on that laptop:

If money was no object, this machine would be at the top of my list.

I really want to see the HDR display in person.

Nice, but I need the number keypad for accounting.

Are you talking about a virtual number pad or a physical number pad?
If the latter then you won't find that on a 14-inch notebook.

It looked matte in the video and historically, that's what ThinkPads have offered.

I see January 2018 in all of the CES announcements, but it still doesn't seem available on the Lenovo site; does anyone have an updated release date? My old Alienware M17x is dying fast....

I just checked the Lenovo site and the new X1C is not there yet... I will reach out to our contacts at Lenovo and see what I can find out.

It was there last week, though no option to buy yet. With a quad core option, that makes for one heckuva portable notebook.

Looks like they're up and for sale now. Only 3 setup options though. I really want the 1T SSD but only a 1920x1080 display and that doesn't show up as an option. :(
