The Lenovo IdeaPad U260 is the first ultraportable laptop to feature a 12.5-inch display and is packed with an Intel Core i5 processor. A durable metal body and leather accents add to the premium feel, but is this notebook worth the $1,000 price tag? Keep reading to find out.

Thanks for the review! Pretty much confirmed my suspicions about the U260, though - looks like it'll stay Lenovo's IdeaPad halo model.

Lenovo, please please pretty PLEASE don't abandon this design!!! A similar model with 14-15" screen and Sandy Bridge CPU will be on the top of my shopping list.

If this didn't have a lack luster battery life(could have been fixed if the battery wasn't integrated), and it had usb 3.0 or at the very least an sd card slot, I could have been sold on this. But, I do give it high points for having a matte screen that is better than average.

Awesome design that I would have been totally sold on except for:

    Insanely retarded HDD choice
    Weak battery life

Now I could live with both of those choices if the laptop cost say somewhere just shy of $800.

Right now it's $900. Depending on sales I wouldn't be surprised if it was to be lower than $800 with a coupon or sale.
