.. ooh I think the lingerie has its benefits un-disputed . Nevertheless, if one decides to shell the dough, its a near perfect gift.

I'm waiting for the PRO model that comes with the extra pouches for my girl's lipstick and makeup. lol

I saw this weirdly styled laptop at CeBIT, a few pictures and an article here http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2814
-
Kinda ugly... But then again, I'm not a lady. Ladies- Is it just a guy thing, or is that ugly as hell?
-
It's hideous and stupid.
Then again, your average female is stupid and would pay for that piece of ****. -
Average female is average, not stupid.
The idea of easily changeable skins is cool, but a laptop with a built-in handle that you carry like a bag is stupid. Also, the skins in the intro aren't super, but at least they're not like SOME girly laptop manufacturers that make all their skins animal-themed (leopard, zebra, tiger). I think I'd get a couple and paint them, without risking to permanently damage the laptop when the paint inevitably begins to chip off. -
that's a really large laptop for a really small screen.
what is UMTS?
and why does their slogan seem to be ""It's all about the inside"? Obviously the outside is the only thing that matters here -
It's their slogan b/c they seem to be catering to a European audience. That means your slogan has to sound cool and it has to be English, but it doesn't necessarily have to make sense. It's not quite as bad as in Asia though (I've seen some messed up English sentences on Japanese products). -

I think the laptop is really cool for its purpose and its definitely a statement for most women. For once, the geeks like me will have a fine topic to talk with bombshell carrying one of those... ...
-
you're the ones categorizing yourself as 'average'. and, yes, the 'average' woman knows jack **** about computers and will pay far too much money for anything considered 'fashionable'
-
As for the laptop, I personally believe it wouldn't be that much of a success with women. First the clam shell type have a very impractical design. it's table decoration at its best thus possibly will only attract certain nich of fashionable oriented customers (male or female) whose daily work activities does not require a portable computing which the price clearly reveals. -

interesting analysis. dead wrong. but interesting. -

Well, I presume the previous two posts followed by dragonesse are owned by women .... Beware Dragonesse.. there are more women surfing this forum than you and I thought
-
Please keep the name flinging and insults to a minimum of none, this forum is meant to be constructive and informative and putting others down helps neither.

I am merely stating an observation. I am from Europe myself (Germany) and I see English slogans that don't make much sense all the time. I also lived in Japan for some time and there the English slogans on consumer products make even less sense. That's just the way it is. Sorry if you feel ofended, but that's no reason to get cranky. -
as for the laptop, BARF. they are trying to appeal to the "chic" factor and ripping people off at the same time. personally, as a FEMALE, i think the laptop is hideous. i wouldn't be caught dead with it. -
I hope I am not bringing down the wrath of the female species with this, but I also have the impression that many females would pay a premium for a chic notebook (notice that I neither make a value judgement about the trendiness of this specifc notebook nor any comment about the intelligence of the "average" female).
I alsways wondered why so many females are willing to pay $1500+ for a simple brown handbag (Louis Vuiton) when they can get nicer lookig one (from my point of view - a personal preference...please don't kill me) from Guess for $150 or so. -
-
And, uhh, let's definitely steer clear of stereotyping genders n' stuff. -
i believe i've earned the right to make value judgments on other women.
i'm rather amused that popular opinion is i'm a guy, too. -
-
Shopping habits and intelligence don't really correspond. Heck, girls have overtaken guys in just about every type of subject scores in schools these days (yup, guys are getting dumber and girls are getting smarter according to standardized test results). -
i've made my observations. not that they apply universally, which is why i say the average woman (would typical have been a better word?). women who don't resemble my model of conception are pretty difficult to find, at least in my world.
-
-
thats not at all what i said. and i'm more interested in an ideal man.
-
But yes I do agree. Females do not ALL know jack**** about computers. My GF can build you a custom desktop computer in a day and show you how to maintain it too. And they do not ALL pay ridiculous amounts for un-realistic things. On a much more contradictory basis, males spend FAR more money on "spur of the moment/mid-life crisis" purchases like cars and boats and motorcycles and the like. My dad spent a good $10,000USD on a few musical instruments on a whim when we were on vacation, my mother or sister has NEVER done anything like it.
On-Topic: The laptop is pretty ugly, but it's all an advertising/market ploy. -

Just to re-affirm that this post is about Laptops... I would surely date a gal who carries this Laptop 'coz it shows the gal is extremely girlie (a lot of benefits) and that she is relatively less mentally acute (all the more benefits) .. -
Depends on the school. Where I went the female population scored lower on statistical measurements, but were accepted because the school was trying to increase the 4:1 male:female ratio.
Laptop for the LADIES :-)
