I do like these sort of notebook cases...however most of them do come with a very practical probem.

The strap that comes along with the bag that is used to sling it along the shoulder does tend to damage shirts. It wears them off much quicker, most likely due to the friction caused between the shirt and the strap of the bag.

I realised that it doesnt depend on the cost of the bag and even expensive ones can cause the same problem. However this often does not feature in most reviews because it is a problem realised as time wears on.

The quality of the shirt does not matter for even the more expensive ones gets damaged !!!

Nice review, Ben. You really took this one around and gave it a thorough testing.

The first thing I noticed about it was the light weight. Styling is pretty good too. Kensington sure has a nice lineup of well-designed noteook bags out right now.

My concern was with the bottom "utility" pocket. Is there any danger of your AC adapter getting crushed if you drop your bag quickly--or is it offset like I think it is?

It is a bit offset such that it shouldn't come underneath the laptop sleeve and there is padding below it (in the bottom of the bag). However, if you have something heavy (like a book) in the notebook compartment, it's quite conceivable that a drop would send the book forcibly down against whatever is in that pocket.

This issue *may* be alleviated since the strap is nestled inside the padded sleeve. The padded sleeve shouldn't rub too much with strap movement because of the neoprene bumps to hold it still on your shoulder. However, you're right about not noticing this until you've carried it for an extended period of time. It probably also depends on the person's body type, and several other factors.
