I've seen complaints about those lockers in Amazon/New Egg that sometimes the rigth combination won't open the lock. That's why I got a key lock...

Anyways, thanks for the review, two months ago there was not a single notebook lock review here and now there are at least three!

Nice snaps! From the picture, the locking part looks different from the one on MicroSaver DS that I reviewed. I wonder if that's the reason it's not always locking well, or if I was just lucky with my choice of test subjects?

The bar that goes into the slot looks like |-, but it's more like a |-| on yours. There's a bar on top and on the bottom. I wonder if the lower bar is what's causing it to be less flexible, since it's relying on the bar AND the dots around it to grab onto the laptop? It seems to stick out of the lock itself a lot. What for? I think it'd be good to understand if the problem is caused by the design of this particular lock, or if it's something that's bound to happen when dealing with so many different security slot manufacturers.

Well the combination does require more of an exact lineup... but It has never failed to open once it was set to the correct number.

Did the yellow cable tie come with the lock? That would be a nice touch.

Yup. Kinda wish it was velcro though.

Interesting... my Targus combo lock came with velcro, and I was thinking it'd be nice if it had that heavy duty plastic strap!
