    Iomega today announced its next-generation four-drive NAS (Network Attached Storage) appliance, the StorCenter ix4-200d. It is designed for small businesses and home office networks and provides up to 8TB of storage. The ix4-200d offers the following:

    • Device-to-device replication to network targets for business continuity and file recovery
    • Multiple RAID configurations for the highest level of data protection

    I thought Iomega went under with its zip drive (I think I still have one in my basement), guess not.

    i wonder what the disk access performance is. interestingly, an atom 330 mini itx mainboard with some green disks on it, configured as home server, delivers 100MB/s read/write access. a lot of NAS are very bad performing when accessing over network.
