Don't know if you guys saw it or not, but I read a pretty interesting aricle on PC World about the newer Intel Chips and upcoming Sonoma chips. I am in the market for buying a new laptop for college this August so its kind of a bummer the Sonoma chips aren't coming out til the end of the year. The article makes it sound like they will be really good. Let me know your thoughts on the upcoming Sonoma chips. Will they be worth the wait? A lot more expensive? How much of a difference from the Intel M 735s they'll be?

thanks for the link, that is a good article. However, I've heard it might take until the beginning of 2005 for the Sonoma. And based on the delays we experienced with the Dothan release, it would not at all be surprising to see the date slip until that time so it's really not worth waiting to buy a laptop for school until that time...you'll have missed a lot of time where you could have actually been using the laptop.
