    If you're interested just google for Core i7. No need to wait for the press release or whatever they're putting out.

    This is the core called Nehalem. It has been previewed a few times, with the best one done by Anandtech. It will be fast. Not in gaming, per se, but more about improving HPC, Database and virtualization performance.

    It's still wicked fast though. A 2.6GHz nehalem is faster than a 3.2GHz Penryn.

    And yes, it happened today.

    I can't wait until this gets into laptops - but that probably won't be for another year or two as they are saying only high end desktops will be using this in 2009.
