This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    So a huff and a puff and then ... not much!
    Ok so the new core/chipset is out and well it's barley faster than the old core/chipset if not even slower at some instances. Only change is that the new core requires 6 more watts of juice and thus shorter battery life. What a shame! Only good aspect of this release is that old model prices will drop.
    I hope for our sake first and then for intel's sake that this is due to some minor issues that can be worked around and fixed...

    *** Please note that the test was conducted using a faster 533FSB core, so some of the higher scores generated by the new core can be atributed to that!!!
