    How about this....
Atelco in Germany have already started shipping devices with the new platform even though Intel has a DNA on it and is not supposed to go on sale until the 15th July.

Notebookjournal.com have run a news on it and have a link to some Benchmarks already done by one of their users.

Intel aint gonna be happy bout this one! :)

3 hours of battery life on a 6 cell and the benchmarks look good. The company is gonna get reamed though I bet.

5145 point of 3Dmark score? I guess that ensures 9600M Gt is not sharing its hardware of (pretty good) desktop 9600GT. Understandable, though - desktop 9600GT has quite a raw power, which doesn't work well in laptops.

The benchmark is at 1280x800, I'm sure the 8600M GT in a G1S gets around 4500 at that resolution, so the 9600M isn't much of a step up.

well the 9600 may have been only a ddr2 version while the 8600gt in the G1 is gddr3. When the 15th rolls around i'm sure we will see a bunch of new benchmarks and reviews

how much is that in U.S dollar?
waiting one more week to get my gaming laptop.
Looks like its little faster than 8600m gt.
    8600m GT around 3.6k-4k+ (on 2.2ghz)
    9600m GT 5k (on 2.53ghz)

when will 15inch have gpu fast as 8800?

So, in about a week we will start seeing new laptops from most manufacturers with new CPU's and GPU's?
Is there any info avalible on models comming etc?
If they release new CPU's and GPU's for laptops, fine, usually doesnt that end up in 17" the first quarter or so?
15" laptops seem to get the short end of the stick in this section, and thats what most people seem to be looking for to

    Hi,

I'm the german user Hauser which was so lucky to get the notebook.

5145 points was the first run at 1280px*1024px resolution . The second one was slightly higher since I make a small misconfiguration in the nVidia control panel.

    5762 points I get on 1280*800 .

The 9600M GT is based on the G94 (32 SPs, 16 TMUs, 16 TAU) so its a little bit faster then the 8600M GT trough the higher clocks.

No, the 9600M GT in the 5930 has GDDR3 clocked with 800 MHz.

yea, you'd think this would have better FPS in the games he tested. (WIC and AOC.)

i have an 8600m GS. will this be a huge bump for me? (yea, the GS version blows.)

    There is 9600GT with DDR3 memory: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=271418
That's Novatech X50 notebook, based on new Uniwill barebone.
But most of notebooks with 9600M are Compal JHL90 based models and it's only DDR2.

But there is one - Alienware m15x with 8800GTX GPU!
So, that's still rare, but not impossible! ;)
