This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Intel Intros Dual-Core Celerons for Notebooks

    Intel is planning to introduce a new line of dual-core Celeron CPUs for its Consumer Ultra Low Voltage (CULV) platform. The Celeron 740 and SU2300 CPUs have clockspeeds of 1.3GHz and 1.2GHz repsectively, along with a 1MB cache and 800MHz FSB. Both chips have a TDP of 10W. Intel has not officially announced these products yet.
