IBM X41 Tablet PC Shows Up on FCC Website

The Federal Communication Commissionhas blown the cover of yet another device that was supposed to be kept secret. The IBM X41 Tablet PC has been under wraps at IBM for a few months as it was developed. IBM recently started demoing thedevice to media outlets, but the press was asked not to reveal this new devicebeen demoing the device to certain press outlets but asking them not to say anything. The FCC has to test all new technology devices that include wireless radio transmitters, as most notebook computers do these days given the fact they have built-in wi-fi. When the FCC tests these devices they post it on their website along with test pictures. Usually a company can ask the FCC to keep picture documents confidential, but it appears IBM did not do this for the X41 Tablet PC device. And so here's a few pictures

yeah, it's the *exact* same form factor and weight as the x40/x41 (just over 3 lbs with the extended life battery btw, which i think most tablet users might want) except you of course lose the two hinges on the side and have the joint attachment in the middle that allows the screen to swivel
