This concept notebook by Kyle Cherry has three OLED screens that altogether measure 26 inches diagonally. This monster can fold up into the size of a 13-inch notebook.

The first link shows a few pictures of how the screens fold.

I wonder how large of a hole this laptop would burn in my wallet

I somehow doubt this is going to make a huge difference to be honest...
I cant imagine it to be popular at all...

Is the chassis also that big? If no, then its' no point really, since you don't have much power.

there is always an external monitor.

Well, by the time this thing is actually made, it'll probably be far more powerful than any laptop or desktop today... but nobody's going to play crysis in a decade.

The weight on that thing would be a back breaker. i think a desktop would be more portable.

Don't be so fast in judging how heavy it "must be".
OLED screens are incredibly thin and light, in fact, I'm sure many of you have seen the video where they made those paper thin translucent OLED displays they were able to bend ...
I'd be very interested in that thing actually, if not just for games, how about watching movies? Unfolding a 26" screen from a 13.3" chassis would be very, very, very... ahhh... :D?

Right away I see one fatal flaw...

Gamers with laps wide enough to hold that thing tend to be sedentary and only stray from their home command centers long enough to buy cigarettes.

To them a computer is portable enough if the wireless keyboard and mouse can be used from a sofa.
