HP to Intro ARM-based Netbooks
The Wall Street Journal reports that HP and several other PC makers are considering using Google's Android operating system using the ARM platform on their netbook computers. ARM-based netbooks promise low power consumption and the ability to be very thin.

Arm processors can be powerful, but they're not compatible with majority of the computer softwares. Thus.. only the people who does only web browsing, word processing...etc will buy it. Many poeple buy netbook for many other purposes other than web browsing.

I really like the fact that HP joins in every sections related to computer! They have everything. Wonder how R&D in HP looks like. That's going to be pretty busy any day.

Zero interest. Sorry, but I want Windows or OS X. Even if I were running Linux, I'd want an x86 distribution.

I don't want to have to recompile stuff if I don't have to, plus x86 destroys ARM's performance, and I don't care about power consumption much except when it comes to like the Kindle or something.
