You're probably thinking of the HDX16; HDX is HP's premium line a la Dell's XPS:

This dv6t seems to be nice, though its 1366x768 screen resolution is a joke. They should offer 1920x1080 or something similar . . . -
Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing
Just like the Dell 1640, except they do offer the 1080P screen too. Really these screens need to start at 1600x900 imo. I still don't like 16:9 on a laptop though. I feel my zest for notebooks slowly being eaten by my disdain for these screens.

Hm, I might do that thanks.

this is probably an identical screen/keyboard to the g60 i just picked up for 499 after rebate. the screen is superb btw - but like most 16:9s you'll find yourself scrolling a wee bit more. on the plus, you'll have a few inches of room on the side for other windows/etc. for me, 16:9 fits the box my eyes track a bit better (field of vision), so i already feel less eye strain, over a traditional 17" notebook.

Man everyone is just retooling there lineup the new studio XPS, then the Dell Studio 14, HP DV3/DV2......its just getting bigger and bigger -
Hmm Dv5t has 9600 and this, 9200?
-
It does seem a bit crippled in therms of optional parts. The graphic card is low and you can't go above that while the screen res is too low and there's no FullHD option.

So I am thinking of buying this laptop. It'll be my first one. Does it really matter about the resolution so much? Is it worth buying? Anything else I should be concerned about?
-
ok so HP replaces the dv5t with this inferior laptop and then ups the price $100?

The dv6t is vastly inferior to the dv5t. It has a lesser-resolution screen (1366x768 is the only option on the dv6t, while you could get 1680x1050 on the dv5t), much slower video card (the dv6t's 9200M GS is probably 3x slower than the dv5t's 9600M GT), and to top it off, it's bigger. It's a crapshoot all around. -

im surprised this thing has been on the market so long and they still havent made updates like a WUXGA display and 9600gt......Looks like DV5T is gonna become a collectors item

I could deal with the 16:9 if it had a 9800m variant, 1920x1080 res, and quad core.
