The HP dv2, which we took a first look at back in January, is finally starting to appear on the market. The dv2 has a 12-inch LED-backlit screen, AMD Athlon Neo 64-bit processor, and ATI Radeon graphics. In an ad on HP's HK site, the listed price is equivalent to $771 USD.

Man, LED backlit screen. When I saw how thin the MacBook's screens were I was totally jealous, and I also saw other LED screens on Vaios, so want an LED screen now. I figure this is a better buy than most netbooks.

i'd say dell e4200 is the perfect form factor for a 11--12 ultraportable, only 2.2lb.

Well you cant do a straight conversion, this one should start at around $600.
They are also on sale in Thailand i think i read. -
Is the exhaust vent (read: cooling system) really under the palmrest? If so, I predict some majorly sweaty hands

That $771 looks like it includes the external optical drive/burner and the dedicated HD3410 GPU option so it's not that bad.
