Today HP launched the 13.3" ProBook 4310s, adding to their lineup of affordable business-oriented notebooks. HP will offer configurations with both integrated and dedicated graphics, using the Intel 4500MHD and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 with 512MB of video memory. Processor options span from a 1.9GHz Intel Celeron to a 2.8GHz Core 2 Duo. Storage options will include both 5400 and 7200rpm hard drives, and DVD-burners with optional Blu-ray readers. Three screen options will be offered, the 1366x768 HD, a 1366x768 HD BrightView, and 1280x720 HD 720P BrightView panel. For extended runtime, users can pick between a 4-cell 37Wh battery or an extended 8-cell with a capacity of 73Wh.

Interesting. Sounds like it would've competed with the Lenovo SL300 (if it were still around ;)).

1280x720 option in addition to 1366x768? A 1280x800 (16:10) option would be nice, but the same 16:9 just with a marginally lower DPI seems like a useless options to me -- the panel maybe cheaper, but the fact that HP has to maintain supply chain for three panels would drive up production cost that we have to pay in the price. Why don't they just standardize on 1366x768?

And what's up with that red palm rest?

Hopefully they will have 1440x900 or rather 1600x900, with 16:9 format, option available.

AFAIK there are no 13,3" 16:9 panels, maybe its 13, 4" ? Kind of useless packing low-end graphics with that much memory. At least there are matte screen options available :)
