The lid contains more bezel than actual screen. That's gotta be a record.

Looks OK. The 1024x600 screen resolution is hard to work with.
General question - anyone know of someone that uses both a tablet and a netbook? Or has replaced one with the other? I'm honestly surprised the netbook market is still around. -

My friend just purchased a $150 first gen Dell Mini because of the keyboard. Now if you could get a decent tablet with a keyboard(be it built in or properly docked like the Transformer) for under $200 then it may have been a different choice. I guess netbooks still have their use, specially with Windows on it.

Wow, it's a netbook? Yes, Intel is still serious about the Atom product line. No, the netbook isn't completely dead yet, and if the public reception to the AMD Brazos line was any indication, there is a market for slow X86 chips if the graphics performance is at least passable.
Having said that, I don't see much of any market for 10 inch form factor netbooks with 600 vertical pixels. I think that 11.6 inches and 768 vertical pixels represents the current practical minimum for most buyers.
Of course, to HP's credit, this netbook apparently does have a full sized keyboard, which goes a long way towards explaining the very large screen bezel. No, it's not elegant, but what do you expect - 11.6 inches is normally the minimum size for a full sized keyboard, hence the huge bezel on this 10 incher.
