    In the latest in a long string of industry recalls of lithium ion batteries, HP has recalled at least 54,000 additional batteries used in HP and Compaq notebook PCs, after receiving reports of batteries that caused injuries and property damage when they overheated and exploded.

    they should probably buy a fire extinguisher company, you know, and bundle every hp or compaq laptop with one. probably cheaper than recall.

    Were these laptops bundled with NVidia GPUs? It might not have been the battery.
