The HP Pavilion g6 is an extremely wallet-friendly notebook that provides just the bare essentials. Perfect for students or for moderate at-home use, the 15.6-inch Pavilion g6 comes equipped with an Intel Core i3 dual-core CPU and 4GB of RAM. This notebook is currently going for $450-529 on HP's website.

The $450 Pavilion g6 model comes built with an Intel Pentium processor P6200 at 2.13GHz and fewer features than our review unit. The $529 Pavilion g6 model comes equipped with anIntel Core i3-370M processor at 2.4GHz and a larger-capacity hard drive than our review unit.
