This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I'm not even sure this is worth reporting when we know that new, much better models ore right around the corner...

    Well, I don't see why HP would just cancel them. And it's pretty obvious what they're doing. The worst case is that they delay them until May to prevent people with B2 chipsets from exchanging their model with the new one (in which case I'd never buy nor recommend anything with the HP logo again).

    The thing I've learned from laptop hunting for six months is the meaninglessness of the phrase "right around the corner" :mad:

    Sorry, it's just my impatience level has almost reached maximum levels...

    Hopefully that by bringing back these laptops, HP is trying to get rid of them in preparation for the newer ones. If the G-series is coming out on March 13th (that is what HP actually said in a press release), hopefully the new dv6/dv7 won't be too far off from that date.

    Does not matter in the long run...
    They can delay it as long as they want....
    Being that I have until April 30th to get my money back....I'll just continue to use my DV6....and at that point, I'll look at a different computer altogether.
