    HP Pavilion dv3t Now Available

    Today HP released the Pavilion dv3t, the Intel brother to the AMD-based dv3z. The new dv3t offers an integrated optical drive, optional dedicated graphics, an optional Blu-ray drive, and an extended battery life with up to 7 hours of runtime. The starting price is currently set at $799 or about $150 over the dv3z.

    HP Pavilion dv3t features:

    • Intel Core™ 2 Duo Processor T6400
    • 13.3-inch diagonal LED BrightView display with 16:9 aspect ratio for full-screen HD content viewing
    • Up to 500 GB hard drive, providing ample room for photos, music and other content
    • HP Webcam and microphone for staying in touch with friends and family
    • HP MediaSmart software for enjoying photos, listening to music and watching Internet TV or movies in high-definition
    • Optional built-in Blu-ray disc drive and remote control
    • Optional 9-cell battery with up to 7 hours of battery life
    • Choice of two HP Imprint designs – Espresso black or Moonlight white

    I like the black, just without the swirly designs. Hope their CULV notebook looks just like this.

    Specs on HP's site list the display as 16:10 1280x800....also offering free upgrades to 3Gb of RAM and 320Gb HD.

    I would take this over the dv2. When you add on the external optical drive the dv2 is bulkier and weighs about the same.

    Wow, I just thought about this. HP will soon have 8.9, 10, 11.6, 12, 13.3, 14.1, 15.6,16, and 17 inch notebooks in a row!

    I really want someone else to use the 1280x800 ~5" display that Fujitsu uses. HP Please :eek:

    they are mentioning 7 hours battery life on high-capacity 6 cell and 4.15 hours on 9 cell.

    That is one nice-looking notebook; 16:10 screen at last. 1280x800 sure isn't something to brag about, but it's better than 1366x768.

    HP is offering a backlit keyboard on this as well. Of course that's not an option I would get - Das Keyboard users unite!

    If this is true, imagine how much battery life a 9-cell high capacity will give.

    Still i think a 13 inch laptop getting 4.15 hours with a 9-cell is horrible. How much battery life will a regular 6-cell get? 4.15*(3/2)=2.76 hours :eek: ??

    no point in getting this at release, HP always put out 200 off coupons in 2 months or so
