The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

Maybe a bit of a tangent, but isn't the fact that this article is posted here simply additional evidence that all of the TechnologyGuide forums should be consolidated into the NBR forum? I mean, the article touches on all-in-one desktops, desktop monitors, and a desktop gaming PC, but it wasn't posted over at desktopreview.

    Maybe a tangent?

Regardless, any decisions we make on that front are not quick to be executed - there are multitudinous variables involved. There is room for discussing such things in the forum at the bottom.

Anyway, while I'm normally a big fan of convertible designs, I don't understand the benefit of a convertible all-in-one that can dip below the table level. Maybe it'd make sense in person, but I'm not quite sure what problem that particular design was meant to solve.

I haven't seen them in person yet, but I did see them demoed on a video conference. The idea is that it brings the screen closer to your fingers so you don't need to lift them off the chair as much. I mean, I know that sounds lazy, but it really does strain things after a while.
