This thing doesn't hold a candle next to the Dell XPS 12. $1,450, 1366x768 display, so-so battery life - what's HP thinking? $600-700 would be more realistic.

This device is terrible for value. I originally thought this was a fully spec'ed out configuration, but alas, the $1449 model is the base configuration. Lenovo will gladly sell you a Twist with an equivalent configuration along with a superior screen for $400 less.

1366 x 768 is pathetic. HP once had the best displays, at least as an option, now just peddles junk.

Agreed, it changes it and it makes it worse. Aim at a pixel, click and keep clicked. Drag. Release.
Try that with and without physical buttons and count how many times the pointer moves to another pixel when clicking on a buttonless touchpad.

Changing subject, do buttonless touchpad have a way to emulate a middle button?

I don't get why everyone stresses so hard about resolution on such a small screen. I think 769 is fine on anything smaller than 13. For that price though, HP should have included a better screen. HP is hoping that this will be a business competitor, so I am going to assume the build quality is good. Either way, I think MUCH MUCH better can be had for that kind of money.

Well I bought a Revolve 810, some good deals on the refurb site right now. 1100 for the maxed out version. I then bought a 512gb msata for 350. So not bad for what I wanted.

The thing has something I haven't found anywhere else. TRUE docking. I hook it up to 2x24" LCDs, keyboard, mouse, usb hard drive, dvd, etc.

It's light, strong, docks in a snap, runs all my VMs fine, no stuttering, great bluetooth. Little guy has been rock solid. The only annoyance is the fan emits a high pitch sound. FFS HP always has fan issues. It like skips a generation in their mobile workstations.

If anyone knows of a better option please tell me before I can't return it haha. The elite pen sucks so far though, haven't tried it much but not liking it. I'm not sold on haswell yet. I had a duo 13 for a few days with a belkin dock and had nothing but issues with it. Maybe too new.
