The thing that confuses me is why they have a option for different 5650's on there configure page, one for Quad core and one for Dual core cpu's.
They using two different cards? -
I would like to see a review of this. It's one of the very few machines from the bigger manufactures that strikes me as both exciting and worth the price. -

I too wish they kept the 13'' size.

I really wish this thing were lighter. It's just a tad too heavy for this size laptop these days -- for my taste, anyway.

I guess the way their manufacturing line works must rely on the way the customization works on the website such that it can't be automatic... -

HI
EveryOne, yesterday i bought HP ENVY 14 BEATS Edition, first impression was quite good, its beautiful black in color with red keypad comes with solo beats headfones,,,, its awesome ,,but it gets hot, don't know why, it may be because of i7 processor or metal bar????
secondly how can we check the beats thing??? it say press fn and beats button,, but its not working for me??? did anyone tried it??? help please???
cheers -
^^^ Yea, i've read the i7 cpu heats things up, so most likely that's the cause. About the beats thing I can't help you there as i'm still waiting for my Envy to clear shipping. Waiting Sucks!

Khasimzafar, this post happened back in July.
I'd ask your questions in the HP forum for a better response. -
Thanks makaveli and blake.... actually i joined this forum yesterday so don't know much about that , it took me 45 mins to find out where to post a questions for beats edition..lol,, so it means everyone is having this heating problem with i7????
Guys still struggling with the beats things check??? any luck?? -
Not sure about your specific question, but for what its worth those i7s run naturally very hot, one of the main drawbacks for that generation of chips. Search Google for "Realtemp" program, it will let you know what temps your cores are running at, those chips do have a high temp threshold.
