I'm a big fan of all three of the Digital Distribution platforms so far reviewed by NBR, but I have to say GOG is definitely special in its own right.
There are at least 1 or 2 games I've purchased on the competing platforms that simply do not play or run correctly on 50%+ of users computers without extensive modification and tweaking. There are several games I've repurchased with GOG simply because it is so much easier to work with these already debugged versions of the game. -
Nice Review.
I have purchased a game from GOG (Freespace 2, about $5), and I really liked the service (can get older games on the cheap).
You get the game, some extras, and the ability to re-download it whenever you need it (correct me if I am wrong).
I would highly recommend it. -
