Gateway E100M and Gateway NX100Xproduct image(view large image)The two model names describebasically the same laptop with a few key differences. The NX100X is aimed at consumers and includes an external DVD burner and a one-year warranty, while the E-100M, aimed at business users, offers an optional Trusted Platform Module (TPM) and a three-year warranty. CNET has a nice rundown on the rather confusing Gateway naming conventions. Furthermore, you can see the CNET full review of the Gateway NX100X here.
CNET gives this laptop an overall "Good" and like the relatively low price. The E100M / NX100X should be available for purchase from Gateway.com in the next 1 - 2 weeks for about $1,600.

Very nice. Does it use a 2.5" hard drive or 1.8"? I'm guessing it's all passive cooling? I don't see the specs on gateway's website though.
