    Gateway Intros Intel-Based Netbook

    Gateway today expanded its netbook lineup with its first Intel-powered model, the LT2000. It features a 10.1-inch widescreen display with LED backlighting and an Intel Atom processor, and other typical netbook specifications including 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive. Windows XP Home is standard and a webcam is built-in. Weight starts at 2.62 pounds with a 3-cell battery.

    The Gateway LT3000 starts at $299.99 and is available now. It comes in two colors: Night Sky Black and Cherry Red.

    Body design seems the same as their previous Atom netbook (based off of the Aspire One 110/150), which is now based off of the Acer Aspire D250.
    Too bad there aren't more hardware variations of 10" netbooks available.
