noope, its going to be two 80gb's! im going to scan the review of where i read that...both bays are full. same goes with memory modules...both full. does anyone know why manufactureres do this? meaning fill both memory slots? cost? i imagine a single 2gb module would cost the same as two 1gb's? so why do that?

ill try find more about the notebook, right now..it seems to be racking in reviews and awards! in one review, the x1800 nearly clocked teh same framerates as a 7900gs! and remember...the gpu on this notebook is UNDERCLOCKED! im getting mroe impressed! but if ONLY thyd release the core2duo model...why is it taking so long? ive read in places that teh same thing happend with the M3438G!

    Hi,

I have a Xi 1546 where RAID 1 (mirroring) was installed (2x120GB HDDs). Could someone give me instructions how to remove RAID 1 to RAID off position. Is it possible to remove RAID 1 without backing up the data and not to install reinstalling the XP? Thanks for a million for the answers!

Hi there! i`m trying to change de oprating system from Windows Xp Home Edition to Windows XP Prof. and i am experiencing some dificulties. In the first place i`ve found on a dvd the drivers necessary but by pressing F6 on the first screen on the install routine the only option to load other drivers that windows have is to insert a floppy disk and.....i don`t have a floppy drive. I`ve also tried to disabe Raid 0 in m computer with the hope that i will succede to install windows but i havent found that option in Bios.
    Thanks!

By the way: my native language is not english sow please mind the grammar(or other mistakes) :D

That was a very nice review.

Could any of you who have 2x >= 100GB hard drives in a RAID 1 configuration, post HD Tune picture of the results? Thanks!

    Hey Guys.

I just got my xi1546 but I got it with Core 2 Duo 7200 2ghz processor, 1gb RAM, and 2 x 120 gb hardrives and Mobility Radeon x1800

I was wondering if anyone could help me tweak and optimize my notebook for gaming. I don't want to mess too much with it but i just wanna know what I can do and still be safe.

I also wanna know what the optimal settings are for my notebook in games like F.E.A.R and Prey.

Any help would be super cool.

    Thanks!

You can update your video drivers; usually the laptop comes with old ones and that can sometimes hamper performance.
Be sure to look at our dedicated Gaming forum.
