The Fujitsu LifeBook N3500. is not only the first Intel Sonoma based laptop offering from Fujitsu, but also their first 15.4" screen laptop. This notebook will compete with recently released Dell Inspiron 6000 and Toshiba M45 15.4" screen Sonoma notebooks. But with new screen technology called "Color-Enhanced Crystal View", a built-in TV Tuner option, Express Card slot and fast new DDR2 SDRAM the N3500 is the most enticing new 15.4" screen laptop offering we've seen.

Cnet reviews reports that this notebook weighs 7 pounds and some change.

I wonder if the tuner does hardware encoding. hmmm

Wow, this notebook looks really good. I can't wait for any reviews, especially comparing it to something like the recently released Acer notebook on the Sonoma platform.

I've been lurking watching laptops for a while because I need a new one soon. I'm really impressed by this model, but the X300 graphics scare me away. Does anyone know if Fujitsu is going to offer the X700 anytime in the next few months?

It definitely has that Fujitsu style. Overall, it looks very impressive, but it looks like it'll have regular notebook speakers, which is somewhat of a disappointment, since this is being toted as a multimedia powerhouse of sorts.

I wonder how it compares to Toshibas great Trubrite Displays?

Especially on the Qosmio line.. which is even brighter with the power cord.

It's the heaviest (more than 7.2) and thickest sonoma-based 15' wide screen notebook. Not appealing.

Yes, but you're forgetting the fact that it's outrageously sexy.

I got one! Neener, neener. [ :D] Yes, it's heavy, but I looked at about 3 dozen and this one has the speed and power as well as a good display. I like it, but just got it home and am plugging it in now.

There is not a docking port. I'm working on a first thoughts and will include a few benchmarks. Should be up this week, full review in 3 weeks or so.
