Fujitsu just announced three all new notebooks powered by the all new 45nm Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processors at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show. The LifeBook A6120, LifeBook N6470 and LifeBook E8410 notebooks have been introduced among the first notebooks powered by the line of next-generation 45nm Hi-k Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processors. All three notebooks promise improvements in performance, graphics, and battery life thanks in no small part to the new Intel processors.

The Lifebook N6470 notebook, which replaces the LifeBook N6460, is a "desktop replacement" notebook equipped with a 17-inch wide display and packed with advanced multimedia features. The new Intel T9500 processor, Blu-ray player support, ATI Mobile Radeon HD2600 graphics processor, and up to a 600GB hard disk drive means the LifeBook N6460 promises to be an impressive performance notebook.

The new LifeBook A6120 notebook offers a 15.4-inch wide high-contrast Crystal View (glossy) LCD that delivers brighter images and richer colors. Offering either the new T8100 or T8300 processors and a spill-resistant keyboard the LifeBook E6210 looks to be an interesting choice for a 15-inch notebook in 2008.

The LifeBook E8410 notebook, a business notebook, offers a 15.4-inch widescreen display, top-notch performance and ironclad security. The E8410 is packed with the T8100 or T9300 processors, the trusted nVidia GeForce 8400M G video graphics card, and a magnesium-alloycasing with spill-resistant keyboard and "Shock Sensor" protection for the hard drive.

The LifeBook E8410 notebook, available next week, is priced starting at $1,399. The LifeBook N6470 notebook, available in February, is priced starting at $1,499. The LifeBook A6120 notebook, available in February, is priced starting at $1,249. See the Fujitsu website for further information.

I wouldn't go as far as calling it crap, but I do not think they are doing themselves any favors by sticking to the white keyboard, silver palm rest and black combination. IMO the all black versions look so much better and in general the Japanese models are better looking than the US/European versions. Regardless of colors, the design is quite bland though.

White keyboard? Did they think that people are going to wash their hands before using the notebook every time?

For business notebook, white keyboard is less appropriate. Black would be acceptable. White tends to be an entertainment class notebook.
Hopefully, Fujitsu could improve E & A series' build quality.

    Dude, your a shot fighter....
    ok, let's be adults joe...
The last thing I would call Fujitsu is crap. Made in Japan, not China, and use almost all of their own components, (not to mention alot of other manufacturers buy parts from them.
I know a usa call center support for the life of the notebook doesnt mean its any better then the next, but it sure helps, I know, I called Dell and Toshiba before...my 6 yr old knows more than those guys.
Anyway, maybe you really like the brand you use that everything else is "crap". Can't fault you for that, I used to be that way...with my toshiba, now I would choose an Hp before Toshiba and that's saying alot.

Just bought a fujitsu lifebook a6470 notebook this weekend from fryes. It is all black. Mine came with two 250 gig hard drives, a T8300 cpu, and Windows Vista Home Premium. It does not come with a floppy drive or an option to use Windows XP. While it does seem much more robust than our previous HP Pavilion ze6400 Notebook, it lacks the ability to run our version of Autocad, 3ds Max, and to operate our all-in-one scanner, fax, and full size plotter. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Final thoughts. After wrestling with different methods... by far the easiest was.... 1). Bought an external floppy drive for 20 bucks, 2). downloaded easyBCD 1.7.1, and now have XP on one hard 250 gig hard drive and VISTA on the other hard drive. Which allows me to use Vista as a remote controlled media center, and XP for my autocad work stuff...wooohoooo!

.If anyone ends up getting the A6120 I'd love to know about heat (actual temps through speedfan or whatever) and build quality.. I'm concerned about keyboard flex but I’m reaaaaally intrigued with this laptop otherwise for the new cooler Penryn processors and high 450nit screen, but I can't see one in person before purchasing.
